Take a look at the various materials I have created during my time as a Journalism/Communication major at Wartburg College.

Capstone Project:
A Look Into the Opioid Crisis in Iowa
As a part of a seven person senior journalism and communication major group, we are currently creating a 15-minute documentary about the opioid crisis in Iowa. We hope to shatter stereotypes regarding this crisis, and create more awareness. Please visit the our website to learn more about our project as it develops. As the head graphic designer, I am in charge of all design elements in the documentary.
St. Paul's Lutheran Church & School
As a part of the course requirements for my course titled Persuasion, I and my group created deliverables every two weeks for our local client St. Paul's Lutheran Church & School. Here are some highlights of deliverables that I created.
Copywriting Intern
As a part of the course requirements for my major, I am to complete a 140 hour internship to build professional experience. I did my internship in the Marketing and Communications office at Wartburg. My main role was to write student excellence stories, what we call "Worth It Stories." My focus was to tell stories of more diverse students from a variety of backgrounds, as many of those weren't being represented.
It was an absolute honor to get to tell the stories of so many amazing students.
Big Q's Clothing
As a part of the course Integrated Marketing Communications, my group and I conducted research and created deliverables for our client Big Q's Clothing, an urban clothing store based in Waterloo, Iowa.
I headed the logo redesign, website design and creation, and also created a 1 minute micro-content video.
Balanced Hormone Health
I am currently working as a freelance assistant for the new company Balanced Health Hormones. A telehealth company dedicated to balancing hormones for middle-aged individuals, I have created several ads that have been utilized through geo-location along with creating several social media posts for their new company.
Wartburg Bowling
The first official client I worked with was Wartburg Bowling. My classmates and I comprised a variety of micro-content for the client including a press release, videos, student feature stories, a social media marketing plan, and infographics.
All of our content was a group effort of various involvements, but I designed the two infographics, wrote the press release, and co-led the social media plan.
Tower
Tower is Wartburg's public relations club that works with both on-campus and off-campus clients. Starting from my freshman year, I worked with the Waverly Chamber Music Series, the community symphony, to market their events and concerts.
Specifically, I was in charge of updating their website, writing blog posts, and creating social media graphics.
KWAR 89.9
KWAR is Wartburg's campus radio station. I dedicated my radio show 2 hours a week to El Radio Show Bilingüe donde practicamos el español and explore the world. I had countless guests from around the world that I call my dear friends and shared their story and the story of our friendships. I also spent at least one hour of those two hours a week talking about a subject of my interest in Spanish.
Knight Vision News
Knight Vision News is a student-run news organization on Wartburg's campus. I participated in a variety of things from teleprompter, to camera work, to story writing, to even anchoring.
In typical news fashion, some of our nights lasted until 2 a.m. but became great teamwork experience in the field.
